Girls Team: Qualified for the State Tournament for the 17th consecutive season!!
Woodward Names New Boys Coach:
The new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach is Roshown McLeod. Coach McLeod played basketball at St. John's University before transferring to Duke University where he was 1st Team All-ACC. He was the team Captain at Duke in 1998 and the MVP the same year. Coach McLeod was drafted as the 20th pick by the Atlanta Hawks and played 3 years in the NBA before hurting his knee and being forced to retire. He also played for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics during that time. Coach McLeod has been an Assistant Coach at Fairfield University and the Head Boys Coach at Therrell High School in Atlanta.
Beck Drafted by WNBA
Kim Beck ('04) was drafted by the Seattle Storm in the WNBA draft. Beck was drafted in the 3rd round and was the 36th pick overall. Kim was also named the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American playing for George Washington University. You can read more by clicking here.
